In trading on Friday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 3%. Leading the group were shares of Mechel Oao (MTL), up about 8.6% and shares of Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF) up about 8.3% on the day.
