Monsanto (MON) announced that it earned $1.2 billion on revenue $4.7 billion for the quarter that ended on February 29. In the same period last year, the company earned $1 billion on revenue of $4.1 billion.

Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ:URBN) shares rose 2.5% this morning after the company was upgraded from neutral to sell by Citigroup.Urban Outfitters is currently above its 50-day moving average (MA) of $28.10 and above its 200-day of $27.28.In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has climbed 0.82% while the 200-day MA has remained constant.

In March, sales of GM rose 12%. Passenger car sales rose 22%, while compact-crossover sales increased at a high of 47% and mid size vehicles were up 38%.In mid-morning trading shares of the company were 22% at $26.18.General Motors (NYSE:GM) has potential upside of 30.7% based on a current price of $26.21 and an average consensus analyst price target of $34.27.

Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) announced Tuesday that it will pay shareholders $0.25 per share on June 20, an increase from the prior pay out of 21.5 cents per share.In past years, Qualcomm has been gradually raising its dividend.QUALCOMM (NASDAQ:QCOM) has potential upside of 4.5% based on a current price of $68.42 and an average consensus analyst price target of $71.51.

Autozone (AZO) was upgraded today by Goldman Sachs (GS) from neutral to buy with a $435 price target due to higher commerical demand and strong operating leverage. Shares are higher by about one percent.

Alamo Group Incorporated (ALG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 6 cents per share. The dividend is payable April 30, 2012, to shareholders of record at the close of business on April 16, 2012.
