Swiss commodities group Glencore International on Tuesday said it has agreed to acquire Canadian grain trader Viterra for $16.25 Canadian or $16.38 per share. Glencore will buy all the issued and outstanding shares of Viterra, whose board approved the terms. The deal reflects a 48% premium over Viterra’s closing price on the Toronto Stock Exchange on March 8.The transaction values Viterra’s fully diluted equity at $6.1 million Canadian.
