Dollar slips on slower business expansion

US dollar bearish bets increased markedly to $11.03 billion from $8.64 billion against the major currencies during the previous week, according to the report of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) covering data up to June 26 released on Friday June 29. The dollar turned weaker as US business activities expansion slowed in June as evidenced by decline in Markit’s Composite PMI.
