Central bank meetings and PMI in focus

The first day of the new month will begin with some releases on Manufacturing PMI data for November (by Markit). The countries include – China, Japan, Europe, United Kingdom and United States. From the U.S., there will also be the ISM manufacturing PMI in addition to that from Markit.

On Tuesday, building permit and current account data are published in Australia, while the Reserve Bank of Australia holds an interest rate meeting. Later in the day, the UK Construction PMI is released by Markit and CIPS, followed by producer price numbers for the Eurozone. The U.S. will issue construction spending data and the IBD/TIPP Economic Optimism Index.

On Wednesday, services PMI results are released worldwide by Markit. The Australian Bureau of Statistics issues third quarter GDP numbers. Retail sales numbers for the euro area are published by Eurostat. The Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne will give his annual Autumn Statement to Parliament, while Halifax house price data are also out in the U.K.

Later in the North American session, the Bank of Canada announces its latest interest rate decision. In the U.S., the latest ADP Employment Report is out.

On Thursday, Australia releases retail sales numbers and trade balance data. The Bank of England and the European Central Bank announce their latest interest decisions.

Initial jobless claims are out in the US.

On the last day of the trading week, Australia will issue the AIG Construction Index. Then the leading indicator for October is published by the Cabinet Office in Japan.

In the European session, factory orders numbers are out in Germany, while Spain sees the release of industrial production data. Eurostat releases an update on third quarter GDP for the Eurozone union.

In the US, factory orders numbers, trade data and a labor market update are published.
